Head Registrar, R & Company, New York, NY, August 2019 – September 2021


This position was created for me in 2019 as our Registration team expanded to include two assistant registrars. In addition to overseeing all of the duties of the Registration department under my purview since joining R & Company as Registrar in 2015, I also took on the following responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing new structure for warehouse team to improve collections management, logistics, and customer service

  • Hiring and managing operations staff, including assistant registrars, photographers, art handlers, conservators, independent contractors, and interns

  • Managing departmental budget and participating in strategic planning and financial forecasting for the gallery

  • Overseeing operations at two gallery locations in Manhattan and at warehouse and workshop facility in Brooklyn


Registrar, R & Company, New York, NY, October 2015 – August 2019 Overseeing all duties of the Registration Department and managing all aspects of the production and installation of artist commissions, including:

  • Planning and overseeing all exhibition installations and de-installations

  • Coordinating domestic and international shipping for rigorous fair and exhibition schedule, and arranging shipping, deliveries, and installations for an international clientele

  • Preparing accurate and concise condition reports for all incoming and outgoing inventory

  • Generating all loan and consignment agreements

  • Managing FileMaker Pro inventory database and overseeing system upgrades

  • Developing care, handling, and installation instructions for furniture, lighting, sculptures, fine art, and objects

  • Training and supervising art handlers in the proper movement, packing, storage, transport, and installation of works

  • Educating staff in the use of inventory database and project management software

  • Liaising with artists, gallery staff, and clients throughout the commission process, from design development through production and installation

  • Utilizing project management software to assign tasks to technicians, fabricators, shippers, and installers, and ensuring that deadlines and budgets are met

  • Managing Registration Department interns

  • Assisting with collections move and setup of new storage facility in 2018


Deputy Registrar / Rights & Reproductions Coordinator, American Folk Art Museum, New York, NY, August 2013 – October 2015


I was promoted from Collections Database / Photo Services Assistant to this position in August 2013. In addition to completing all tasks previously under my purview, I also took on the following responsibilities:

  • Scheduling and supervising packing, shipping, and object movement ● Preparing condition reports for all outgoing and incoming loans

  • Supervising installations and de-installations; acting as courier for traveling exhibits and loans

  • Preparing media and content and uploading to museum website via eMuseum

  • Scheduling and supervising all collection and installation photo shoots

  • Implementing Integrated Pest Management program for storage facility and galleries

  • Managing Registration Department assistant, art handlers, freelance photographers, and interns

  • Assisting with collections move and setup of new storage facility
